10 Moments from March, 2019

March was a very eventful month for me! Because of that I wanted to share 10 of my favorite moments from the month and give a bit of a back story behind them!

To kick things off I wanted to start with the Capitol Records International Women’s Day event in Hollywood, Ca on March 6th. I had the opportunity to go to LA to take some photos at the Capitol Records International Women’s Day event. This was one of my first photo jobs where I wasn't brought on to do concert/ music photography so I was very nervous to be there. Thanks Dana for believing in me you are a real friend! Here are a few of my favorite photos from the event!

The second moment from March that I wanted to share is going to the Super Bloom in Southern California. My best friend and I decided to make the drive from Anaheim to Temecula one afternoon while I was visiting her to try and go see some poppies and other wildflowers. We attempted to go to Lake Elsinore but so did everyone else in Southern California, so we decided to just take a random exit off the freeway and these are some of the photos that we took!

This next moment was by far my favorite memory of March. I got the opportunity to spend three magical nights in a cemetery photographing the wonderful Elohim during her acoustic shows. I had known about these shows for a while and was beyond excited when I learned that I was going to be able to photograph them with some of my best friends! Here are a few of my favorite photos from the three nights.

I shot a lot of film during March. I think I ended up shooting about 12 rolls. Here are some of my favorite photos taken with this awesome hand fogged film.

Took some film photos in the poppies! I really enjoyed using film when in LA because it made me slow down and think about all the photos that I was taking.

The next moment that I wanted to share is that I finally got to meet some really cool friends who I had known online but we had never met in real life. ILY Shayla and Sarah!

The next moment that I wanted to share from March is the incredible self care Sunday that I got to experience with Shayla and Sarah while sitting by the pool in LA.

It is always a great moment when I get to take photos of Yoshi Flower and I had the chance to get some photos of his acoustic shows in LA. It was a very fun set and unlike any show I have seen him do!

I photographed even more film at the end of the month and for this roll I decided to soak it in some red wine to see what would happen and here are some of my favorite images from the roll.

The final moment from March that I wanted to share in the blog post is that I created my own zine. I was feeling very uninspired and one of my friends suggested that I try creating a zine with photos from my LA trip. Unfortunately I am not going to be selling this zine but I might make more in the future! Here are a few of the pages from the zine.
