Phoebe Ryan // Fall Tour // San Francisco, CA

Indie pop artist Phoebe Ryan brought her fall tour to the Swedish American Hall in San Francisco on Monday November 13th. The 27 year-old LA based artist is well on her way to becoming the next big thing in the music industry. Ryan is probably best known for her collaboration on the song All We Know, with the Chainsmokers. Her collaboration with the EDM superstars brought Ryan’s name directly into the mainstream world and ever since then there has been no looking back.

Ryan’s fall tour was filled with small intimate shows, and the San Francisco date was no different. Playing to a sold out Swedish American Hall on a Monday night. Fans endured the rain to secure a good spot for the show. Ryan had direct support from up and coming artist Morgxn and opening the night was singer- songwriter Molly Kate Kestner.

Ryan opened her set with her 2015 hit single Mine, which instantly got the crowd excited for the rest of her set which lasted a little over an hour and had 15 songs. Ryan played all of the songs off her newly released EP James, which came out on October 26th. She played a good mix of old songs and new hits, including her song All We Know that she did with the Chainsmokers back in 2016. Ryan then slowed it down for her song Aspirin. Ryan brought things back to the upbeat tempo right after Aspirin ended. Ryan ended her set with her hit song Forgetting About You, which features rapper, Blackbear. Showing her versatility Ryan rapped Blackbear’s parts wowing the crowd. Ryan wasn’t quite done yet, quickly coming back onstage to do a classic 2 song encore. The first song in her encore is an unreleased song entitled, Unicorn. Ryan says that it is about being yourself and not caring about what other people think about you. Ryan ended her fantastic set with the song that started it all for her. Her mashup of Ignition / Do You (R. Kelly / Miguel) had the whole crowd singing along. One fan even passed Ryan a joint when she sang the lyrics, Do you like drugs / Yeah / Well me too.
